Since I picked other, here is the way mine goes:

I have a wonderful plan that includes: niche research, keyword research, seo, designs, blogging, etc.

However, something usually happens (like a kid gets sick or I get inspired so I go off to create designs, the store isn't working well, so something takes twice as long as it needs to) and I get slightly off the plan.

Then I realize things like OH (CRUDNUGGETS) if I don't get ALL of these Halloween designs up NOW they won't be up until it's too late, or OH (CRUDNUGGETS) my hits are down, I forgot to upload Google base.

Then I start reading this and reading that, (taking notes of course) and realize I haven't worked on any lenses in over a month so I rush off to do that.

While I'm doing that I realize that I need to tweet it, which reminds I have this wonderful plan I'm working on for twitter, so I need to work on that.

So, basically, do you have one that says, "I start each day with the best of intentions of working within a plan, but feel like all I do is run around putting out fires?"   Don't Know

I wrote a little article that kind of goes along with this idea. I posted it in the Productivity forum since this subject came up.

I find that any time I am not in front of my computer, I have all sorts of ideas for designs, things to blog about, SEO improvement, etc., but when I sit down to work, my mind empties out like WaMu shareholder's bank account.  Does anyone else experience this?

    yep, all the time!

i have a sketchbook I keep around and write/draw things in so I don't forget later. Invariably, I think up something after I take my contacts out and am settling down in my bed. Much easier to just keep a book handy. You could even carry around one of those teeny notebooks.

I use sticky notes, so when I get up brain dead, I'm like: "Oh, look - a note! What it says? Read Ah, those are things to do for today that I wrote down last night" Applause

My inspirations tend to hit at night, while I'm not quite drifting off to sleep. Problem is, I am blind as a bat without glasses and I already write very messy. Through in some extreme tiredness and I often read it the next day, thinking, "What does that say? mom + alien = best..."  Shock And, of course, I can never remember what exactly was the inspiration!  Cry
