Greeting Card Universe Raises Prices
By
Lately, I seem to be announcing several price increases with the POD companies. First Printfection… then CafePress. Now Greeting Card Universe has announced an increase of their own. Effective yesterday, greeting card prices for customers increased from $2.49 to $2.79.
The silver lining? The artists will receive a small commission increase. For orders under under 25 cards, the commission has increased 6 cents. Instead of the standard 50 cents, artists will now make 56 cents. Not much… but hey! With soaring gas prices, every penny helps!

Hey there…
Artist fees went up only for “smaller” orders like you mentioned. They now offer consumer friendly bulk rates. On these bulk orders, artist fees dropped considerably. Time will tell if this pans out.

I wondered what that extra six cents was all about. Thanks for highlighting this short article!

Ahhhhhhhhhh! I wondered why it was “under” 25 cards. When did they lower the artist’s commission on the bulk orders? There was no mention of that in their announcement. Was there a seperate announcement earlier?
