I've sometimes imported products (that have already been sized to the way I like them) from another section into a new section and then just changed the image and descriptions. But if I've put designs on the backs of some it can be a pain to remember which ones I have to go change or remove the back image from so I don't end up with one image on the front and a completely different one on the back! I didn't know you could just duplicate whole sections. Where is the command to do that? Also is there a way to get rid of old product sets?

I never thought of duplicating the section and then replacing the name, design, and description! Genius! I was starting to get lazy and not even include buttons and etc because I didn't want to resize them, so thanks for this tip!

Thanks Jenn!

Yeah.... I used to use the same technique.... then they limited our sections to 500, so I started using this technique instead so that I can dump my hidden template section and all the product sets when I need to.... :D Of course, when I get to that point, I don't guess I'll need the product sets much longer because my shop will be full.... LOL

I have a hidden section where I have different sets of products with images of different sizes. One set may be sized at 7.5, another at 3.5 and yet another at 2.0. When I add a new product, I simply import the set with the size I want to use and change the image. I do have to sometimes change a few things, but for the most part, everything is lined up just how I want it. It takes a while to get the sets made to begin with, but it's a real time saver afterwards.

Thanks BarbD... yep... since CP is so slow (especially the image basket) every little short cut helps to save brain cells and sanity! I love it when I don't have to resize... :D

I've even erased the section and tried duplicating a different one to see if the image fits it better instead of trying to tediously resize 100+ products.... I haz a serious hate for resizing.... :(

Another thing that will help, (along the same lines) is look for an image similar to what you have. If you have a full bleed/no border image, try to find one like that. I have been pleasantly surprised when I put images on products that *poof* I don't have to resize anything!
