Maybe you ARE superwoman. :O I just know I'm not. :D I do the same thing sitting in front of the computer. I set the computer clock alarm so it pings every half hour. Sometimes I ignore the first ping if I'm really into a project but I make sure to get up and wander around a bit on the second ping. My legs and back are quite happy about this.

I heart you RPF. :)

You mean I'm not Superwoman?

*trudges off sadly*

(Great advice! And I have the tendency to sit still for hours in front of the computer if I don't make myself get up and do something with the kids.)

Kayecee, my goals list used to look like that. I guess I thought I was superwoman. What I started doing was monthly or weekly. I'd set down all the things I needed to get done that week or that month. Then I could run it down to a good daily list from that list. I have gone so far as to do a yearly list, but lately I just do weekly and daily.

When I first started doing my lists I forgot to factor in real life. So yeah, those goals were doable if I never got up, never made lunch, never went to the potty. :o So do a longer list and then say "right, this is for a WEEK or a MONTH" and then start paring down. After awhile writing a good sized, attainable list becomes much easier.

Yep.... you know an article is great when you can come back 6 months after it's written and go, "Dang!"

Once again, thanks @RobertPlantFan for such a kick-in-the-pants post. We've been working on our attitude in the forums. It's so easy to look at the negative and forget what's going right in our lives. I'm just glad I've got such great friends to go along for the ride with. *hug*

Now if I could just the goals part down right... I tend to write lists longer than "Sants's Naughty Kids" list, then I feel overwhelmed. :)

When I read this post originally, I was blown away. Reading it for the second time hasn't lessened its impact. It's a wonderful, informative article that's been extremely helpful to me as a self-employed person.

Thanks. :)
